Our Story
From a single hand-painted pair of jeans to wearable art in over 30 countries.

It All Started With an Idea
In 2021, a year after finishing my studies, I decided I wanted to build my own path. I had always been passionate about creating a clothing brand, but I knew I didn't want to do the same as everyone else. I wanted to create something with identity, where every piece had meaning and could become a form of self-expression.
At the time, I noticed that in Colombia customization was focused mainly on sneakers, but almost no one was transforming jeans in an artistic way. That's where I found the opportunity to do something different: turn a pair of jeans into a canvas.
Without imagining everything that would come next, Cabrera was born.

The First Designs
The first pair of jeans I painted wasn't even mine. My best friend lent them to me so I could create a custom design. That small project sparked something I didn't expect.
After that, I started telling my friends I could paint their clothes too. Every new design was a chance to learn, experiment, and refine my technique. Finding the right materials, figuring out how to make the paint withstand daily wear, and learning to value the time each piece required were some of the biggest challenges of the beginning.
I began sharing the whole process on social media. Little by little, the videos started reaching more people, and the first orders soon followed. Seeing that someone trusted my work and was willing to wear a piece made entirely by hand was a feeling I still remember with so much emotion.

From Florencia, Caquetá, to the World
In 2022, we received our first international order from the United States. For a brand that was just getting started and working out of Florencia, Caquetá, a city in southern Colombia, shipping a garment to the other side of the world felt like an enormous challenge.
Figuring out how to ship it, understanding the entire logistics process, and making sure the piece arrived in perfect condition was a completely new challenge. When that first order reached its destination, we realized the possibilities were far greater than we had imagined.
Over time, our pieces began traveling farther and farther. Today we've shipped exclusive designs to more than 30 countries, including the United States, Mexico, Italy, Singapore, Dubai, and many other places around the world. Knowing that a piece created in our workshop can become part of someone's story on the other side of the planet is still one of the greatest joys of this project.

Our First Drops
After several years creating fully custom pieces, we felt it was time to take a new step.
In 2025 we launched Cabrera's first official drop: a limited capsule of 50 pairs of jeans inspired by the world of Studio Ghibli. Each piece was produced in Colombia through an artisanal process that combined our identity with high-quality materials and carefully developed finishes.
Months later we released our second capsule, inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen, with two exclusive t-shirt designs. Seeing our own collections come to life was a goal that for a long time felt far away, and today it represents one of the most important chapters of our story.

This Is Just the Beginning
What began with a single hand-painted pair of jeans has become a project that has brought to life more than 500 exclusive pieces shipped to customers in over 30 countries.
Every design is still created by hand in our workshop, using professional Angelus paints and carefully selected materials to ensure the highest possible quality. Since each piece takes about a week of work, we produce a very limited number of garments each month. We believe that dedicating the time each creation needs is the only way to maintain the level of detail and authenticity that defines our work.
We still believe that clothing can be so much more than a garment. It can tell a story, represent a passion, and become a piece of art that goes with whoever wears it.
Thank you for being part of this journey. The best of Cabrera is still to be written.
Our Philosophy
We don't believe in mass production. We believe in pieces that tell stories.
Every design that leaves our workshop is created with patience, dedication, and attention to every detail. We want everyone who wears a Cabrera piece to feel they carry a unique work of art, made especially for them.
Because art isn't only made to hang on a wall. It's also made to be worn.
